Job summary

CJ Schwan’s is seeking an Area Distribution Manager to lead depot distribution operations in Tacoma, WA and Portland, OR. You will guide a team of about 15 staff, ensure DOT compliance and optimize routing to maximize on-time deliveries. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency with Windows and Office.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
5+ years related experience, ideally guiding DSD or sales teams.
Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
Strong written and verbal communication, with analytical and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

Manage a team of ~15 staff across northern Oregon and western Washington to support distribution and sales.
Ensure DOT safety compliance and optimize routing and delivery execution.
Recruit, hire, train and develop depot distribution staff.
Present financial and KPI reports to management.
Monitor distribution performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Analyze distribution data to support business decisions.
Maintain customer relationships across sales, merchandising and operations.
Ensure adherence to company safety and DOT policies.
