Johnson & Johnson in Houston is seeking a high-impact Regional Sales Director to build and lead a regional sales team, drive revenue growth, and develop go-to-market strategies for MedTech products.

This role partners with Marketing, R&D, and Area VP of Sales to expand national strategic accounts, coach field representatives, and ensure execution of plans across hospitals and healthcare networks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent required.
  • Experience leading large medical device sales teams.
  • Track record of delivering quota and growth in healthcare markets.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead regional sales team to maximize revenue and exceed goals.
  • Forecast revenue streams monthly and quarterly with accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, R&D and Area VP of Sales to identify market needs and execute on product commercialization.
  • Develop revenue plans for sales teams to ensure growth across products and services.
  • Provide coaching and support to help teams meet and exceed objectives.
  • Train teams to structure deals that meet revenue targets and maintain relationships.
  • Act as escalation point for issues and resolve conflicts as needed.
  • Stay informed on product and industry developments to inform the team.
  • Partner with Marketing on go-to-market strategies and ensure successful execution.

Position Overview

The primary function of this role will be to drive incremental business growth through the development and management of relationships with national strategic accounts within their designated area. The Area VP – Strategic Accounts leads a team of Directors, Strategic Accounts, collaborates cross-functionally with various departments, and leverages industry insights to enhance customer engagement and retention. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of market dynamics to elevate the company's competitive position.

Position Overview

Essential Job Functions
  • Build, oversee and help drive a team of regional field sales representatives that maximize sales revenues,attaincorporateobjectivesand exceed sales goals
  • Forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly sales revenue streams accurately
  • Identify, develop, and implement effective sales plans and strategies
  • Develop specific revenue plans for sales teams as needed to ensure growth in all products/services targeted by the organization
  • Provide coaching, advice, support,motivationor information to help individuals meet and ideally exceed their defined sales objectives
  • Train and coach sales representatives to structure deals that exceed revenue expectations
  • Serve as escalation point for issues beyond team authority; resolve team conflicts as necessary
  • Perform sales activities for an assigned geographic area to achieve or exceed assigned revenue objectives
  • Develop and testnew salesstrategies and tactics, replicating those that are most successful
  • Keep abreast of anddisseminatenew product and industry knowledge to the team
  • Work closely with Marketing on go-to market strategies and see them through to successful completion
  • Participate in sales team meetings, sales managementmeetingsand quarterly business reviews

Requirements
  • BA/BS degreeor equivalentrelevantexperience
  • Proventrack recordofleading salesin the medicaldevice or disposable device markets
  • 5+ years ofdemonstratedsuccess leading and managing asales team and exceeding team quotas
  • Strong sales, recruiting, leadership, organization,planningand prioritization
  • Results oriented with multiple years of meeting or exceeding quotawith experience in bringing innovativemarket defining products to market
  • Good interpersonal skills to align and foster positive working relationships across the organization (internal and external)
  • Ability to develop and critically analyze a sales pipeline and forecast
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travelover 50% if needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-pacedenvironment while managing multiple priorities
  • Operate as a team and/or independently whiledemonstratingflexibilityto changing requirements
  • There may be continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an8 hourday)
