Critical Job Functions

  • Direct and collaborative selling to a customer base.
  • Coordinating the effort of each Roadrunner Transportation Systems leadership team to develop customer specific/value-based supply chain solutions.
  • Facilitating cross-selling activity between the Roadrunner operating companies through training, support, and leadership.
  • Put our Field Sales Playbook into action—bringing discipline, focus, and consistency to how we prospect, pitch, and close.
  • Build trusted relationships with shippers, showing them why Roadrunner is their smartest choice for long-haul.
  • Work hand-in-hand with Operations, Pricing, Marketing, and Customer Experience to deliver seamless results.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field preferred (MBA a plus).
  • 7+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain.
  • Minimum 3 years managing regional or multi-market field sales teams with a proven record of hitting and exceeding targets.
  • Strong financial acumen with ability to manage P&L, contribution margin, and pricing strategy.
  • Comfort with travel across the East Region (up to 50%).
  • Applicant must be based in Texas, North Carolina, Tennessee, or Georgia.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Physical Demands: Daily outside travel to make sales calls in any weather, light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature.
  • Work Environment: The service center is a well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.

  • Remote, with candidate required to reside in Texas, North Carolina, Tennessee, or Georgia.
