Silverado is seeking a Regional Director of Resident Engagements in Irvine to lead engagement across multiple communities. The role blends operational leadership, program development, clinical collaboration, and strategic growth to enhance dementia care programming and resident engagement.

You will mentor DREs and Nexus Directors while driving innovative practices across legacy and Nexus initiatives. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in a related field, 5+ years of leadership in senior living

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required; master’s preferred.
• Minimum 5 years leadership in senior living or related field.
• Experience with dementia care programming and resident engagement preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and development to Directors of Resident Engagement and Nexus Program Directors across communities.
• Support hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and ongoing education of engagement leaders.
• Foster collaboration among DRE teams to drive innovation and continuous program improvement.
• Partner with Administrators and Regional Leaders to assess performance and development opportunities.
• Conduct routine community visits, program audits, and operational reviews to ensure quality.
• Lead program innovation by incorporating industry trends and AI applications.
• Analyze performance metrics to improve engagement and census growth.
• Collaborate with Sales to support occupancy goals through engagement programs.
• Ensure compliance with Silverado standards and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor community leaders to strengthen talent development.
• Serve as an ambassador for Silverado’s mission and values.

We’re hiring a Regional Director of Resident Engagements – a strategic and visionary leader who is passionate about advancing innovative dementia care programming, developing high-performing teams, and driving resident engagement across multiple communities. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Provide functional leadership, training, coaching, and professional development to Directors of Resident Engagement (DREs) and Nexus Program Directors (NPDs) across assigned communities
• Support the hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and ongoing education of engagement and Nexus programming leaders
• Develop and facilitate collaboration among DRE teams to drive innovation, best practices, and continuous program improvement
• Partner with Community Administrators and Regional Leaders to assess performance, identify development opportunities, and support performance improvement initiatives
• Conduct routine community visits, program audits, and operational reviews to ensure programming quality and consistency
• Lead program innovation efforts by incorporating emerging industry trends, research, and appropriate applications of artificial intelligence (AI)
• Analyze performance metrics and engagement outcomes to improve program effectiveness and support Nexus census growth
• Collaborate with Sales teams to support occupancy goals through engagement programming and Nexus initiatives
• Ensure compliance with Silverado standards and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements while supporting survey readiness efforts
• Partner with clinical teams, healthcare professionals, universities, and community organizations to enhance resident programming and available resources
• Oversee Silverado’s Music Therapy Internship Program and support volunteer program development
• Mentor community leaders to strengthen talent development, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness
• Serve as an ambassador for Silverado’s mission, values, and innovative programming both internally and externally
• Coordinate quarterly Home Office visits for local Nexus residents
• Respond to urgent operational matters as needed outside of standard business hours

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology, Social Work, Recreational Therapy, Music Therapy, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in senior living, memory care, healthcare, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience in program development, strategic planning, team leadership, and performance management
• Experience working with dementia care programming and resident engagement initiatives preferred
• Professional certifications in leadership, program management, or related disciplines preferred
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
• Ability and willingness to travel frequently between communities
• Comfortable working in environments that include animals and pets
• Flexibility to work outside regular hours based on business needs

Anticipated pay range

$100,000 - $110,000 USD
