Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a Director of Operations to provide strategic leadership over regional operations across multiple locations in the USA. The role focuses on maximizing growth and profitability while managing resources in alignment with company policies.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Logistics with at least 10 years in logistics operations management and 5 years as a regional leader. Travel between sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Logistics or equivalent fields is required.
• Minimum of 10 years logistics operations management experience with big box, e-commerce or specialty retailers and at least 5 years’ experience as a regional operations leader managing multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and management to Operations within a large geographic region.
• Develops and implements long and short term strategies to achieve financial and growth targets.
• Develops emerging talent and successors and creates a work environment that promotes the values of DSV.
• Plans and budgets regional financial targets and ensures targets are achieved.
• Ensure operational excellence within and across our core services.
• Builds and sustains long-term client relationships and supports sales initiatives by partnering with clients.
