Job summary

Circle K Stores Inc. in Northern Kentucky seeks a Regional Operations Manager to lead and optimize performance across all stores in the region.

You will develop regional strategic plans, supervise district managers and store teams, coordinate merchandising and marketing initiatives, and ensure sales, gross margin, expenses and customer service targets are achieved through effective training and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop a tactical plan and implement it to meet the group's strategic and annual plan objectives.
• Develop and maintain an organization capable of operating stores in the region to meet sales, margin, expense and profit objectives.
• Provide counsel and direction to District Managers and store employees on operational, marketing and employee relations issues.
• Review sales and gross margin plans for stores in region.
• Implement merchandising programs in conjunction with Category Managers/Marketing.
• Work with Training Department to implement associate training programs and other personnel development programs.
• Monitor appearance and condition of all physical assets in region (buildings, company cars, etc.).
• Monitor control of cash, inventory, and other assets in region.
• Monitor quality of associates at all levels within region.
• Maintain or exceed customer service standards.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and compliance programs.
• Implement operating procedures for region.
• Recommend and review loss prevention programs with Loss Prevention and Operational Excellence.
• Review building maintenance plans with DM, Construction and VP of Operations.
• Administer performance and salary review program for region; conduct District Manager reviews.
• Review and recommend store rebuilds, remodels and other asset improvement projects.
• Review and approve routine staying-in-business and small project enhancement projects.
• Recommend and coordinate gasoline retail prices with Fuel Director.
• Maintain an updated succession plan.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED

4-year degree in business, marketing or equivalent; must have previous supervisory and store management/District Manager experience. 10-12 years progressive store operations with retail experience, marketing experience preferably in a convenience store setting.

SALARY RANGE

$90,000 to $110,000
