Position Summary

We’re hiring a Regional Director of Nursing (RN) – a compassionate and strategic clinical leader who ensures excellence in care delivery and supports a thriving team environment. This role blends clinical expertise, leadership, and empathy to elevate the quality of life for our residents.

This position will support our communities on the West Coast. Candidates should be based in California.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in data collection, review, and analysis of clinical outcome data from communities in the region.
• Assist with the establishment of clinical programs during new acquisitions, including interviewing, hiring clinical associates, and on‑site training.
• Collaborate with the Director of Quality Assurance to identify trends in clinical outcomes that are less than optimal and develop measurable quality improvement plans with appropriate staff and leadership.
• Oversee clinical audits.
• Provide on‑site nursing leadership in the event of a DHS vacancy at a Silverado community.
• Provide timely reports to the Senior Vice President of Clinical Services and Director of Quality Assurance.
• Communicate promptly to the Senior Vice President of Clinical Services and Regional Vice President of Operations any unusual occurrences or concerns related to regional clinical care, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Travel within the region for meetings and other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience, including setting performance expectations, coaching, motivating, fostering collaboration and teamwork, managing change, providing performance feedback, delegating effectively, and resolving conflicts.
• Clinical competency in standards of care for adult patients/residents with multiple chronic comorbidities, including dementia, and familiarity with geropsychiatric diagnoses and common treatment modalities.
• Passion and ability to work with people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia‑related conditions.
• Competency with computer programs for communication and medical documentation.
• Willingness to work outside regular hours as required by business needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills across diverse audiences.
• Comfortable working in an environment with pets.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.

Compensation

Anticipated pay range: $160,000 – $180,000 USD
