Job summary

Silverado Alexandria is seeking a Director of Nursing (RN) to lead clinical operations, ensure high-quality care, and foster a collaborative team culture in our memory care community.

You will mentor staff, uphold regulatory standards, manage budgets, and partner with families and physicians to deliver compassionate care. This role requires an active RN license in Virginia, strong leadership, flexibility, and a passion for memory impairment care.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
  • Proven leadership experience in a senior care or long-term care setting.
  • Strong supervisory skills including coaching, team development, and conflict resolution.
  • Passion for working with individuals with memory impairments and supporting teams.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Willingness to work outside regular hours based on business needs.
  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills across diverse audiences.
  • Must be comfortable working with animals and pets.
  • Active role: walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.)

Anticipated pay range

$150,000—$170,000 USD
