Job summary

Legacy Healthcare is seeking a Regional Director of Nursing to travel to Iowa facilities and provide DON coverage, ensuring high clinical standards.

As acting Director of Nursing, you will lead the Clinical Department, set goals, mentor staff, and oversee all Nursing operations, with potential DON/ADON/MDS duties.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (bachelor's degree preferred) in Science, Nursing or related field.
• Unencumbered State of Iowa RN license.
• 5 years of RN experience.
• Prior Director of Nursing or SNF management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to facilities across Iowa to provide DON coverage.
• As acting Director of Nursing, lead the Clinical Department and set department goals.
• Inspire the clinical team, solve problems, and oversee all Nursing Department activities.
• May perform DON, ADON and/or MDS duties as needed.

A Regional Director of Nursing would have the exciting opportunity to travel to different locations in Iowa that are in need of DON coverage. As acting Director of Nursing you are the heart of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Legacy Healthcare by instilling a positive and inclusive facility culture, setting and attaining Nursing Department goals, inspiring your clinical team, creative problem solving and overseeing all aspects of the Clinical Department. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive an unparalleled standard of care. This position would be a PRN - as needed role based on the needs of the company and may require DON, ADON and/or MDS duties.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, Associate's Degree (bachelor's degree preferred) in Science, Nursing or related field, an unencumbered State of Iowa Registered Nurse (R.N.) license, 5 years of R.N. experience, and previous experience managing a department. Prior Director of Nursing or experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable.
