Job summary

Accela Healthcare seeks a Regional Director of Nursing to provide clinical leadership and oversight across skilled nursing facilities in the Philadelphia region. The RDON will partner with facility administrators and nursing leadership to promote high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and strong clinical outcomes.

The role requires RN licensure in PA, 5+ years of nursing leadership in skilled nursing or long-term care, and willingness to travel between facilities.

Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted RN license in PA.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care.
  • Experience inDirector of Nursing/Regional Director of Nursing or similar senior clinical leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of skilled nursing regulations, CMS requirements, and PA Health standards.
  • Experience with state surveys, QAPI, infection prevention, clinical compliance, and quality improvement.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop nursing leadership teams.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel between facilities in the Philadelphia area as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and support to Directors of Nursing and nursing leadership teams.
  • Oversee nursing operations, clinical practices, staffing, and resident care across facilities.
  • Develop and implement clinical improvement initiatives with facility leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, state and local regulations.
  • Support state surveys, regulatory compliance, and Plans of Correction.
  • Monitor quality measures, clinical outcomes, infection prevention, documentation, and resident safety.
  • Lead QAPI and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Review clinical indicators and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Mentor and develop DONs, ADONs, Unit Managers, and other nursing leaders.
  • Assist facilities with staffing, retention and leadership challenges.
  • Collaborate with HR and facility leadership on recruitment and retention.
  • Promote consistent nursing policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Conduct regular facility visits, clinical reviews, and leadership meetings.
  • Assist with incident investigations, risk management, and follow-up on clinical concerns.
  • Maintain regular communication with executive leadership regarding clinical ops and outcomes.

Job Summary

A confidential skilled nursing organization in Philadelphia is seeking an experienced Regional Director of Nursing (RDON) to provide clinical leadership and oversight across skilled nursing facilities in the region.

The Regional Director of Nursing will work closely with facility administrators, Directors of Nursing, and clinical leadership to promote high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, strong clinical outcomes, and consistent nursing practices across assigned facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to Directors of Nursing and nursing leadership teams.

  • Strong knowledge of skilled nursing regulations, CMS requirements, and Pennsylvania Department of Health standards.

  • Experience with state surveys, QAPI, infection prevention, clinical compliance, and quality improvement.

  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop nursing leadership teams.

  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to travel between assigned facilities throughout the Philadelphia area as needed.
