The SURMC Regional Faculty Director of Admissions and Student Affairs at the University of Utah's Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine leads outreach, admissions and student support for the Southern Utah Regional Medical Campus in St. George.

This newly created role is an adjunct appointment with 0.25 FTE, reporting to the Associate Dean of SURMC, and shaping a rural medical education mission. The incumbent will collaborate with campus leaders, oversee RMS admissions, support student wellness

Qualifikationen

• MD or DO required with current licensure eligibility in Utah.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency is required.
• Demonstrated leadership and excellent interpersonal communication skills are essential for advisory and collaboration roles.
• Experience in medical education and student support services is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Develops and implements a vision for SURMC admissions and student affairs programs in partnership with regional campus leadership.
• Oversees RMS admissions processes, recruitment, and compliance with internal policies and accreditation standards.
• Represents SFESOM, RMS, and SURMC admissions to internal and external partners and stakeholders.
• Co-chairs the RMS selection committee and supports staff recruitment, training, and evaluation.
• Serves as a spokesperson for the SURMC and RMS programs to advisors and educational institutions.
• Supports SURMC students in wellness, academic success, scheduling, financial aid, and residency match processes.
• Meet with SURMC students annually to review progress and professional development.
• Participates in policy-related committees and community-building activities.
