Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a Regional Director, Corporate Security to oversee security for all facilities in the North Central Region. The role requires on-site leadership, site assessments, and coordination with asset protection, law enforcement, and external consultants.

Travel and non-standard hours are expected as needed. The role emphasizes strong leadership, strategic thinking to mitigate threats, and the ability to train and supervise site security personnel.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in Criminal Justice / Loss Prevention / Security (strongly preferred) or currently working towards a related degree.
  • Tactical Law Enforcement experience is strongly preferred.
  • Physical fitness is essential; martial arts/defensive skills desirable.
  • CPR / AED / First Aid Training.
  • Strategic thinkers identify and minimize exposure to threats for assigned locations.
  • Strong leadership: communication, issue resolution, negotiation, collaboration, and teamwork.
  • Oversee security & safety projects and planning at locations.
  • Pass MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Pre-employment background check, motor vehicle record, drug screen, and psychological screening required.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving history if company vehicle is used.

The Job:

As a Regional Director, Corporate Security, you’ll be part of our Corporate Security team working as an on‑site employee.

You’ll get to:

  • Responsible for Security for all SBD facilities within the North Central Region. May include office spaces, manufacturing sites, warehouse space, and service centers.
  • Assess each site to ensure compliance to minimum security standards and make recommendations to site leadership as appropriate.
  • Reports to the Senior Security Director, North America and will work with site leadership, Asset Protection professionals, local law enforcement, and outside consultants as required.
  • Provide supervision to site-level Security personnel and support in crisis situations as required.
  • Position will require travel, working non-business hours, and potentially weekends.
  • Ensure each SBD facility within your region meets minimum security standards.
  • Work with site leadership and resources to determine and implement any needed upgrades or improvements.
  • Manage proprietary Security & Safety Services Personnel.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in crisis situations.
  • Training of SBD personnel in various security/safety-related topics.

  • Associate degree or higher in Criminal Justice / Loss Prevention / Security (strongly preferred) or currently working towards a related degree.

  • Microsoft Office computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Successful completion of a pre‑employment criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, drug screen, and psychological screening process is required.
  • Must be able to pass any State‑required training or other qualifications for licensing.
  • Have a valid driver's license, and clean driving history if driving a company‑owned vehicle.

The Salary range for this position is $95,600.00 - $153,900.00
