Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
  • At least 5 years of senior leadership experience in complex organizations.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the development and management of the regional operations, oversee revenues and expenditures, maintain internal controls and financial discipline, and work closely with the Executive Director, Directors, and Program Directors to ensure the financial wellbeing of BCFS.2. Pursue opportunities for new or expanded services, as part of a well-conceived and articulated entrepreneurial framework that is value- and mission-based and strategically oriented.3. Represent and share the BCFS brand in the community as the primary spokesperson and build strong relationships with leaders at every level of community involvement: social service organizations, local businesses and business groups, public officials, government entities, local media, and donors.4. Identify, cultivate and solicit government contracts, as well as private sources for charitable gifts, in support of the programs and operating costs of BCFS.5. Demonstrate a high level of business acumen, ensure excellent financial management, stewardship, accountability, program compliance, and timely and accurate reporting.6. Recruit, develop and engage quality staff to be a high-performing, collaborative team.**Measurable Deliverables:**1. Develop and implement a long-term fundraising strategy in collaboration with the Development Officer. Maximize all current fundraising opportunities and execute strategic initiatives to broaden funding base and increase overall funding from individuals, foundations and corporations.2. Oversee the development and management of the regional budget, oversee revenues and expenditures, maintain internal controls and financial discipline, and work closely with the Executive Director, Directors and Program Directors to ensure the financial wellbeing of BCFS.3. Implement all policy decisions.4. Provide ongoing evaluation of process improvement to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.5. Ensure the sustainable development of existing programs and the addition of new programs to guarantee the growth and expansion of BCFS.6. Anticipate changing community needs with vision and imagination and then translate vision into implementation.7. Develop purposeful and intentional plans for the provision of services and then be responsible and accountable for the execution of all such plans.**Other Responsibilities:**1. Promote inter-organizational partnerships and partnerships between BCFS programs, when such collaborations can enhance the delivery of services and amplify societal impact.2. Oversee responsibility for BCFS compliance with all applicable non-profit laws, contractual obligations, and donor restrictions, and follow internal policies and procedures to ensure such compliance.3. Delegate effectively while also being a no-job-too-small, accessible presence that encourages dedication and hard work.4. Commitment to encouraging internal communications and to the elimination of structural barriers to a unified, integrated staff.5. Conducts monthly meetings with direct reports, all regional staff, and senior leadership to identify individual/program challenges needing positive support.6. Mentor staff, maintain a culture of reasonable expectation and accountability, manage teams in a dynamic environment, and make difficult personnel decisions when necessary.7. Other job duties as assigned.**Job Requirements**:1. Demonstrate a passion for the BCFS mission and understanding of the youth and families being served.2. Possess the expertise, credibility and gravitas to be a trusted partner to government, private businesses, community organizations and donors.3. A history of and reputation for uncompromising integrity, inspiring trust in BCFS and its employees.4. Profit and loss experience, a strategic perspective, entrepreneurial ability, and proven leadership, with a broad array of management skills transferable to a complex non-profit organization.5. Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a highly evolved capacity for listening, synthesizing information, and promoting interactive processes.6. Understanding and ease with technologies that enhance internal and external communication, information management, and the metrics by which success or shortfall can be measured, communicated, and used as management aides.7. Familiarity with region a plus. A history of successful community networking and a willingness to devote considerable time and effort to be involved and visible in-service organizations and other leadership circles in the region.8. Multicultural understanding and sensitivity are essential.9. Demonstrate problem-solving and decision-making skills and the ability to work well under pressure.10. Exhibit authenticity, persistence, transparency, sensitivity, and attention to detail.**Credentials, Skills, and Abilities:**1. Maintains current licenses and certificates required for the position.2. Passes a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.3.
