Job summary

Mail Management Services, Inc. is seeking a Regional Director – Transportation Operations to oversee multiple transportation sites across Texas, Tennessee, and North Carolina. The role requires frequent regional travel and leadership to ensure safe, compliant operations.

You will work with Site Managers and USPS personnel to manage staffing, safety, and performance. The position demands 3+ years of transportation management, multi-site leadership experience, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of transportation management experience preferred.
• Multi-site management or regional leadership experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and locations simultaneously.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
• Class A CDL preferred.
• Must pass USPS background screening and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and operational support to Site Managers across multiple locations.
• Review postal contracts and site operations to ensure contractual requirements are met.
• Monitor performance, ELD/HOS compliance, attendance, staffing, and safety.
• Ensure safety policies are followed across locations.
• Collaborate with USPS personnel to address operational needs.
• Review staffing needs and maintain appropriate staffing levels.
• Coach and counsel employees on performance-related matters.
• Develop and review timelines, matrices, and performance expectations.
• Support new contracts and growth initiatives.
• Troubleshoot operational challenges and provide hands-on assistance.

Regional Director – Transportation Operations

Salary: $105,000–$120,000 annually

Full-Time | Frequent Regional Travel Required

Mail Management Services is seeking an experienced Regional Director – Transportation Operations to oversee and support multiple transportation operations across Texas, Tennessee, and North Carolina.

This is a hands‑on leadership position responsible for ensuring assigned locations operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and postal contract requirements. The Regional Director will work closely with Site Managers and senior leadership to support staffing, safety, operational performance, employee management, and continued company growth.

Location Requirement: Driver must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of San Antonio, TX or Cudahy, WI, and be able to reliably report as scheduled.

Locations Currently Under Oversight

• Houston, TX
• Memphis, TN

Frequent travel to assigned locations is required. Additional travel may be necessary to assist with new location startups and other operational needs.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of transportation management experience preferred.
• Experience managing complex, time‑sensitive transportation operations.
• Multi‑site management or regional leadership experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and locations simultaneously.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
• Class A CDL preferred.
• Must be able to successfully complete required federal background screening for USPS access.
• Ability to successfully complete required company defensive driving and ongoing safety training.

Previous postal contract management experience is not required.

Starting Salary: $105,000–$120,000 annually
