Job summary

Envive Healthcare in Beech Grove, Indiana, seeks a Dietitian to review new residents on admission and determine nutrition needs, ensuring appropriate intake and plan adherence.

You will perform ongoing assessments, document care plans, participate in care and food committee meetings, and collaborate with nursing to optimize nutrition delivery and wound prevention. Strong communication with families is required.

Responsibilities

• Review new residents on admission to ensure adequate nutrition.
• Review current residents quarterly, annually, and as needed.
• Review residents for significant weight loss/gain.
• Assess and review residents for wounds caused by pressure; calculate energy needs and make recommendations to support wound healing and prevention.
• Attend Clinically at-Risk meetings.
• Attend food committee meetings as needed.
• Complete section K of the MDS.
• Write Nutrition Plan of Care and update as needed.
• Conduct room visits to observe residents and assess nutrition practices.
• Meet with residents/families to implement nutrition interventions.
• Tour Dietary Services to observe sanitary conditions.
• Observe Dining Room to identify ancillary services for residents.
• Conduct meal tray audits monthly to ensure proper temperatures, palatability, and plate presentation.
• Provide RD recommendations for MD approval.
• Communicate with Nursing staff for root cause analysis.
