McGill Environmental Systems is seeking a Regional Maintenance Technician to support multiple facilities across Eastern North Carolina and Virginia. You will diagnose, repair, and preventively maintain diesel engines, hydraulics, and heavy equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation.

Travel up to 50% is required, with strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and working with site leadership to prioritize maintenance needs across the region.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance, diesel mechanics, heavy equipment repair, or related field.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Experience on heavy equipment, loaders, grinders, screeners, trucks, conveyors, and industrial processing equipment.
• MIG and TIG welding experience.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% throughout Eastern North Carolina and Virginia.
• Strong commitment to safety and equipment reliability.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel-powered heavy equipment and industrial machinery.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime across multiple facilities.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on heavy equipment and production systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Maintain conveyors, bearings, pulleys, motors, pumps, screeners, and related equipment.
• Perform MIG and TIG welding repairs and fabrication work.
• Assist with equipment installations, facility upgrades, and maintenance projects.
• Support maintenance planning, inventory management, and parts control.
• Coordinate with Plant Managers and Operations Leaders to prioritize maintenance needs.
• Train and mentor maintenance personnel as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Follow all company safety policies and environmental compliance standards.
