Job summary

Amazon seeks a Health & Safety Manager to own the Health and Safety function for AWS data center operations in the Berwick region. You will lead safety policy implementation, audits, and risk mitigation in coordination with construction, operations, and compliance teams.

The role focuses on improving safety culture, data-driven safety improvements, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure a safe, compliant data center environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of safety experience in an industrial setting are required.
• 4+ years of compliance program management, governance, audit, or risk prevention experience.
• 3+ years of defining program requirements and using data/metrics to drive improvements.
• Experience with SQL and Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Implement health and safety standards, policies and practices including risk assessments and safety regulations.
• Conduct health and safety audits of data centers and active construction sites for compliance.
• Ensure compliance with global health and safety programs beyond regulatory requirements.
• Develop health and safety plans for on-site emergencies and business continuity.
• Maintain safety records and data integrity; analyze trends for leadership.
