Wabtec Corporation seeks a US/CA Customs Compliance Region Leader to manage and maintain the customs compliance strategy for importers/exporters. You will work cross-functionally to implement enterprise standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance while enabling business operations.

The role requires 9+ years in customs compliance with people leadership, a licensed customs broker or equivalent, and strong English communication.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of industry customs compliance with people leadership experience.
• Licensed Customs Broker or in-country equivalent certification.
• Deep knowledge of US/CA customs, trade and regulatory requirements for import/export.
• Self-directed leader with strong communication and cross-functional influence.
• Strong problem-solving and process-focused mindset with accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a demanding environment.
• Demonstrated program leadership and project management skills.
• Proficiency in English.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsabilidades

• Lead compliance with US and CA region customs and trade laws and regulations.
• Operationalize the Customs Compliance Enterprise Standard requirements.
• Establish and maintain local standard work processes aligned with enterprise standards.
• Drive customs compliance program disciplines and timelines.
• Respond to customs-related government inquiries as required.
• Lead customs compliance issue resolution and address trade issues.
• Communicate regulatory changes affecting business units.
• Conduct customs and trade compliance training as needed.
• Lead region metric reporting.
• Oversee customs broker/agent and managed trade providers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate compliance risks.
• Liaise with Global Customs Leader and local stakeholders.
• Support trade compliance for customer projects in US/CA.
• Mentor and coach direct reports.
