Regional Critical Student Intervention Coach

Special Programs

Role Mission

The Regional Critical Student Intervention Coach will oversee intervention efforts for IDEA Public Schools to ensure maximum student achievement and close the achievement gap for critical students by designing, training, and coaching the implementation of processes. The coach will collaborate with national partners to design, implement, facilitate training, provide coaching, and ensure the fidelity of the Critical Student Intervention (CSI) program across the district.

Location: This is a full-time onsite position located in El Paso. Preference will be given to candidates who reside in the region or are willing to relocate.

Travel Expectations: 50%-70% travel within the region.

What You’ll Do – Accountabilities

  • Lead effective CSI DI instruction through weekly data analysis, feedback, observations, and coaching (20%)
  • Facilitate and participate in weekly data analysis calls to provide clear next steps (20%)
  • Conduct in-field observations and coaching to school leaders (40%)
  • Join regional and national meetings to facilitate communication (5%)
  • Manage and implement region-wide systems for CSI, such as RenStar and DI placement testing (10%)
  • Design and facilitate CSI and CSI DI program trainings for teachers and leaders (5%)

Additional Duties

  • Provide initial and potential regrouping recommendations based on test results
  • Use regional newsletters for communication
  • Collaborate on CSI training design and rollout with the national team
  • Coordinate registration processes for training sessions
  • Define district-wide processes with other CSI leaders
  • Troubleshoot issues with school leaders as needed
  • Procure DI materials and communicate procedures for ordering

  • Ability to drive and travel between schools
  • Sit or stand for extended periods
  • Lift up to 15 lbs

Compensation & Benefits:

Salaries typically range from $70,500 to $82,100, depending on experience and qualifications. The role is eligible for performance pay and includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, parental benefits, flexible spending, vacation, bonuses, professional development, and a 403(b) plan.
