Job summary

Public Promise Insurance Agency (PPI), the insurance and employee benefits affiliate of the National Association of Counties (NACo), seeks a Regional Program Director to lead county engagements across multiple states. This senior role focuses on strategic opportunities and expanding PPI’s workforce solutions beyond traditional sales.

The ideal candidate is a trusted advisor to county executives and HR leaders, capable of building long-term partnerships while navigating public sector priorities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of five years of progressive experience in strategic business development, relationship management, consulting, public affairs, or executive account management.
• Experience working with county government or public sector organizations.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% and reside near a major airport.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal relationship executive for counties in the region.
• Develop growth strategies and expand participation in PPI’s workforce solutions.
• Engage county leaders to understand priorities and deliver consultative solutions.
• Represent NACo and PPI at conferences and events and maintain an active pipeline.
• Collaborate with internal teams and provide market intelligence to leadership.

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
