Job summary

Patterson Companies is seeking a Regional Controller to lead the finance and accounting function for the region. You will oversee internal controls, monthly closes, budgeting, and forecasts while supporting regional management and operations teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 5+ years in accounting/finance, and SAP/MS Office proficiency. Occasional travel of 25% is expected in a national scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• At least 5 years of accounting or finance experience with inventory, costing, GL and financial analysis skills.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines producing high-quality output.
• Excellent prioritization and organizational skills to manage multiple deliverables.
• Verbal and written communication that conveys direct, succinct messages.
• Ability to identify improvements and work with management to optimize processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the activities of the regional accounting center.
• Perform monthly financial close in a timely and accurate manner.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Yearly develop regional budgets.
• Quarterly develop financial forecasts.
• Provide information for external financial reporting when needed.
• Provide support and direction for regional management, sales and operations teams.
• Contribute leadership for direct reports and training as needed.
