Job Details

Summary:
As the Regional Consulting Engineer, you will provide quality service in consulting, restoration, and salvage for insurance losses involving technical equipment. Your role includes field investigations, research, and reporting findings to clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Manage investigations involving commercial and industrial systems, ensuring professionalism, quality, and integrity.
  2. Use technical expertise for analysis and guide support colleagues, documenting all findings accurately.
  3. Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports.
  4. Manage project timelines, documentation, budgets, and overall time management.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with clients through communication before, during, and after projects.
  6. Manage vendors and subcontractors.
  7. Research system components, pricing, and availability.
  8. Conduct equipment troubleshooting and evaluations.
  9. Determine causes of equipment damage such as water, lightning, or power surges.

Projects may involve electronic equipment like computer networks, medical technology, industrial machinery, telecommunications, and manufacturing equipment.

Additional work may be assigned by management.

Position Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  2. 3-5 years' experience evaluating failures in commercial or industrial settings.
  3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  4. Willingness to travel up to 20%, including occasional overnight stays.
  5. Experience in consulting or client-facing roles is beneficial.
  6. Strong technical writing skills.
  7. Curious and inquisitive approach to work.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  9. Ability to work outdoors and in various environmental conditions.
  10. Customer service orientation.
  11. Ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively.
  12. Knowledge of project management methodologies.
