Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Construction Manager with extensive experience to serve as an owner's representative for the North America Design & Construction team. The role covers design review through handover across new builds, retrofits, expansions, and program initiatives in the Nashville region.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction/PM, expert knowledge of AutoCAD/BIM and scheduling tools, and a willingness to travel up to 60%. Amazon offers comprehensive benefits and RSUs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as an Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, or related construction discipline.
• 5+ years of project management experience spanning design phase through construction completion and handover.
• 5+ years of experience negotiating construction, procurement, and/or labor contracts.
• 5+ years of proficiency with AutoCAD and/or BIM, and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar).
• Travel up to 60%; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as owner's representative and primary construction integrator across all assigned projects.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects from design through handover.
• Audit contractor bids, budgets, and schedules; resolve discrepancies.
• Own budget tracking, cashflow forecasting, and cost management.
• Negotiate contracts with developers and general contractors.
• Audit contractor performance and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with AHJ for permitting and approvals.
• Review documents for conformance to standards; resolve design conflicts.
• Coach project teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Champion safety programs and maintain safety-first culture.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
• Assess project performance via KPIs for safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
• Support facility transition and turnover documentation.
• Identify value engineering opportunities with engineering partners.
• Seek sustainable, environmentally responsible solutions.
