Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. seeks a Regional Account Manager to drive outside commercial sales for Commercial products with medium and large institutional buyers.

You will generate leads, manage procurement, and coordinate large commercial jobs with the Inside Commercial Sales team and Commercial Support Center. Daily travel is required to call on existing customers and prospect new opportunities while developing awareness of the local market and maintaining strong relationships with builders

Qualifications

• 3+ years outside commercial sales experience in flooring or building materials
• Strong track record in outside sales
• Familiarity with the LOCAL market
• Experience with RFQs, commercial job bids, and construction sales
• Proficiency with CRM tools and MS Office
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Travel daily throughout the assigned area to call on existing customers and prospect new customers to solicit business
• Manage projects from inception to completion including identifying opportunity, product selection, specification, order placement, order tracking, delivery coordination, installation oversight, punch walk, and claim coordination
• Must continually prospect for viable new accounts while developing awareness of the local market
• Follow up on leads from sources such as Dodge, store leads, networking groups
• Work with the Inside Commercial Sales team to pursue commercial leads and maximize sales efforts
• Submit proposals and responses to RFQs and RFPs issued by prospective customers with pricing/specifications
• Follow-up with Inside Commercial Sales on key dates to complete sales and satisfy customer requirements
• Coordinate with purchasing and inventory teams to confirm product availability or special PO needs
• Stay current on merchandise training and product lines
• Monitor contracts and prepare reports on leads and statuses
• Participate in trade associations and trade shows and assist in promotional efforts
