Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking an experienced Clinical Resource Nurse (RN) in California to partner with clinical leaders and resources for multiple facilities in the Central Valley region. The role focuses on clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and staff development across sites.

Ideal candidate has at least four years as DON in skilled nursing and two years as a clinical resource, with willingness to travel extensively and reside near assigned facilities to provide hands-on guidance.

Qualifications

• RN license in California required.
• 4 years’ experience as Director of Nursing in skilled nursing.
• 2 years’ experience as a Clinical Resource or similar role.
• Strong understanding of CMS and CDPH regulations.
• Ability to travel frequently between facilities (75%).

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site reviews of clinical operations and staff performance.
• Coach and mentor Directors of Nursing and Nursing Department managers.
• Educate staff on clinical and regulatory issues and facility policies.
• Oversee training and development of clinical staff and prepare plans of correction.
• Support facilities during annual and complaint surveys; assist with regulatory compliance.
