Job summary

Step Forward ABA in the United States is seeking a Regional Clinical Director to lead clinical teams, ensure high standards of care, and drive growth across the region. You will supervise BCBAs and BCaBAs, oversee treatment plans, and collaborate with operations to align staffing and processes.

The role emphasizes data-driven practice, compliance with state regulations and payer requirements, and a culture of transparency and respect.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field.
• Active BCBA certification in good standing.
• Minimum 3 years of BCBA experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong working knowledge of Virginia Medicaid and insurance requirements.
• Excellent communication, organization, and team leadership skills.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the assigned region.
• Experience with interdisciplinary teams, IEP meetings, and school-based services (preferred).
• Safety-Care or CPI certification preferred (preferred).

Responsibilities

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Supervision & Mentorship: Provide supervision and individualized mentorship to BCBAs and BCaBAs; support professional growth and clinical decision-making.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee the development, accuracy, and compliance of FBAs, BIPs, and treatment plans. Conduct data audits, fidelity checks, and monitor clinical integrity across cases.
• Family & Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with families and support teams to address questions, concerns, and progress, ensuring satisfaction and transparency.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work in partnership with the operations division to support appropriate case assignments, onboarding, and team alignment.
• Leadership Development & Training: Support hiring, orientation, and mentorship of new team members and clinical interns. Facilitate clinical trainings and enforce internal policies and procedures.
• Operational Partnership: Participate in staffing audits, productivity tracking, and clinic walkthroughs. Ensure region-wide compliance with state regulations, payer expectations, and BACB guidelines.

Compensation (Based On Experience & Education)

Pay: $87,000 - $105,000 (salary)
