Qualifications

• DVM with active license in CA or ability to obtain licensure.
• Minimum five years in small animal general practice.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, teaching, or developing veterinarians.
• Strong clinical proficiency in medicine, surgery, and dentistry.
• Willingness to travel regionally up to 50% to support hospitals and programs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality care for companion animals while maintaining an active caseload.
• Mentor and coach veterinarians, providing individualized development plans.
• Lead surgical and dental mentorship, review techniques and outcomes.
• Support the WVP Launch Mentorship Program and clinical leadership initiatives.
• Engage veterinary students and externs and promote education.
• Collaborate with leaders to improve onboarding, education, and retention.
• Travel regionally up to 50% to support hospitals and mentorship activities.
