Job summary

The Rural Regional ECE Collaborative, led by the Community Foundation of Pulaski County, Indiana, seeks a full-time Collaborative Director to lead multi-county early childhood initiatives, partner with providers, employers, and foundations, and oversee shared services and funding partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, public administration, nonprofit management, social work, business, or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in early childhood education, community development, nonprofit leadership, economic development, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience building relationships with diverse stakeholders including employers, community organizations, and government partners.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities across multiple counties.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to boards, business leaders, and community groups.

Responsibilities

• Collaborative Coordination and Governance: Serve as the primary staff support to the Regional Leadership Council and Regional Steering Committee, including agenda preparation, meeting facilitation, and follow-up.
• Manage grant review cycles, provider stability grant administration, and hub program oversight; coordinate with Transform Consulting Group during startup.
• Provider Outreach and Catalytic Programs: Build and maintain direct relationships with child care providers across counties; map supply/demand and gaps; develop catalytic programs.
• Communications and Visibility: Develop and represent the Collaborative’s brand identity via website, social media, newsletters, press releases, and annual reports; attend community events and regional convenings.
• Data, Evaluation, and Reporting: Track KPIs, manage grant reporting for Lilly Endowment GIFT IX, and present quarterly progress reports to steering committees and partner foundations.
• Employer Engagement and Business Partnerships: Build relationships with employers, chambers, and economic development organizations; design employer listening sessions; manage the employer partnership program and renewals.
• Fund Development and Sustainability: Pursue supplemental funding opportunities; support CFoPC in developing the regional ECE endowment; build toward sustainability targets.
