Job summary

Veterans in Healthcare seeks a Regional Chief Pharmacy Officer to lead the Pharmacy Department across inpatient and outpatient services, delivering contemporary pharmaceutical care and compliant medication-use systems while guiding strategic objectives and optimizing resources.

Requires a BS in Pharmacy (PharmD/MS/MBA preferred), Ohio licensure eligibility within 30 days, and 10 years of progressive hospital pharmacy leadership; strong communication, supply chain, budgeting, and change

Qualifications

  • Current license to practice as a Pharmacist in Ohio or eligible within 30 days of hire.
  • Ten years of progressive hospital pharmacy leadership experience.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Regional Chief Pharmacy Officer

Position Purpose: The Regional Director Pharmacy provides leadership of the Pharmacy Department by providing contemporary pharmaceutical care services to inpatients and outpatients through medication use systems, educational and other clinical support across the continuum of care. Responsible for the successful achievement of strategic institutional and corporate objectives and goals, optimizing resources, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory bodies. Provides leadership and direction to the organization and pharmacy staff through personal performance, coordination, oversight, and/or delegation of the principal duties and responsibilities listed below.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy program. MS, Pharm D., Hospital Residency or MBA preferred
  • Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Ohio or be eligible to apply for the license within 30 days of hire
  • Experience: Ten (10) years of progressively responsible leadership in hospital pharmacy
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Knowledgeable about the pharmaceutical supply chain, clinical therapeutics, human resources management, and budget management
  • Ability to develop and implement a strategic shared vision for pharmacy services
  • Proven leadership skills in relationship to motivating and empowering staff
