Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• Board certification in Anatomic Pathology or combined AP/CP preferred.
• Active New York State license, DEA and Medicaid number.
• Strong clinical abilities, teaching experience, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prior leadership experience in academic medical centers or public health systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversee operations of the Pathology Department with focus on patient safety and quality.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with AABB, NYDOH, CAP and others.
• Lead in staff development, retention and recruitment of pathologists.
