Job Description

Position Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring proper pickup and delivery of Tyson products. Drivers must live in a defined hiring area and be willing to operate across all 48 states, including various hours and night shifts. Delivery to all Tyson locations and customer sites must meet their requirements. Drivers must comply with all regulations stated in Section 391.11 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: Must use safe lifting techniques, regularly open CMV hoods, trailer doors, and operate landing gear. Employees are required to stand, walk, sit, handle objects, reach, balance, stoop, and communicate verbally. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to recognize audible alerts. Work environments include wet, slippery, hot, dry, dusty, and cold conditions. Personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, reflective vests, and closed-toed shoes are required when outside the truck. Safety policies must be followed, with risks identified and mitigated, and all safety procedures recognized and complied with.

Job Requirements: Applicants must pass a DOT urine and hair follicle test. Minimum qualifications include verifiable CDL A tractor-trailer experience (9 months in the last 12 months or 12 months in the last 3 years), a clean driving record without preventable accidents or DUI/DWI/OUI convictions within specified periods, no positive DOT drug/alcohol tests in the last 3 years, and no more than 8 driving jobs in the last 3 years. Up to 3 employment terminations from Tyson Foods are permitted.
