Job Description

Position Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring proper pickup and delivery of Tyson products. Drivers must live in a designated hiring area and be willing to operate across all 48 states, including various hours and night shifts. Deliveries are to all Tyson locations and customer sites as per requirements. Compliance with all regulations in Section 391.11 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations is mandatory.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: Use safe lifting techniques; regularly open CMV hoods, trailer doors, and operate landing gear. Physical activities include standing, walking, sitting, handling objects, reaching, balancing, stooping, and hearing. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Recognize audible alerts from industrial equipment and vehicles. Work conditions may involve wet, slippery, hot, dry, dusty, and cold environments. Personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, reflective vests, and closed-toed shoes are required.

Safety: Adhere to all safety policies, identify and mitigate risks, and complete safety training to recognize and follow safety procedures.

Job Requirements

Must pass a DOT urine and hair follicle test.

Minimum qualifications include:

• Verifiable CDL A Tractor Trailer experience: 9 months in the last 12 months or 12 months in the last 3 years.
• No preventable accidents resulting in fatality or rollover in the last 3 years.
• No DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions in a commercial vehicle, with specific time restrictions.
• No positive DOT drug or alcohol tests in the past 3 years.
• Maximum of 8 driving jobs in the last 3 years.
• No more than 3 terminations from Tyson Foods.
