Job Description

Position Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring proper pickup and delivery of Tyson products. Drivers must reside in a designated hiring area and be willing to operate across all 48 states, including various hours and night shifts. The role requires delivering to Tyson locations and customer sites per their specifications. Compliance with all regulations in Section 391.11 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations is mandatory.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: Must use safe lifting techniques, regularly open CMV's hood, trailer doors, and operate landing gear. Physical requirements include standing, walking, sitting, handling objects, reaching, balancing, stooping, and hearing. Vision abilities needed include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Ability to recognize audible alerts from industrial equipment and vehicles is essential. Work environments may include wet, slippery, hot, dry, dusty, and cold conditions. Personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, reflective vests, and closed-toe shoes are required as needed.

Safety: Drivers are expected to follow all safety policies, identify and mitigate risks, and undergo training to comply with safety procedures.

Job Requirements: Applicants must pass DOT urine and hair follicle tests. Minimum qualifications include verifiable CDL A tractor-trailer experience (9 months in the last 12 months or 12 months in the last 3 years), a clean driving record, no recent preventable accidents or DUIs/DWIs, and limited employment terminations with Tyson Foods.
