Job Description

Position Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring proper pickup and delivery of Tyson products. Drivers must live in a defined hiring area and be willing to operate across all 48 states, working various hours and night shifts. Delivery must be made to all Tyson locations and customer sites as per their requirements. Drivers must comply with all regulations outlined in Section 391.11 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations Book.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: Must use safe lifting techniques, regularly open CMV hoods, trailer doors, and operate landing gear. The role requires standing, walking, sitting, handling objects, reaching, balancing, stooping, and communicating effectively. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, along with the ability to recognize audible alerts from equipment. The environment may involve working on wet, slippery, hot, dry, dusty, and cold surfaces. Personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, reflective vests, and closed-toed shoes are required as needed.

Safety: Employees are expected to follow all safety policies, identify risks, and be trained to recognize and comply with safety procedures.

Job Requirements

Must pass a DOT urine and hair follicle test.

Minimum qualifications for the Company Long Haul Division Driver include:

• Verifiable CDL A Tractor Trailer experience: 9 months in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 3 years.
• No preventable accidents resulting in fatality or rollover in the last 3 years.
• No DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions in a commercial vehicle in the last 8 years.
• No positive DOT drug or alcohol tests in the last 3 years.
• Maximum of 8 driving jobs in the last 3 years.
• No more than 3 terminations from Tyson Foods, Inc.
