Job Summary

This position is responsible for the proper pickup and delivery of Tyson products. Drivers must reside in a designated hiring area and be willing to operate across all 48 states, including various hours and night shifts. Delivery to all Tyson locations and customer sites as per requirements is essential. Compliance with all regulations stated in Section 391.11 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations is mandatory.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical: Use safe lifting techniques regularly. Open/close trailer doors, operate landing gear, and perform tasks requiring standing, walking, sitting, and manual handling. Vision: Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment are necessary. Recognize audible alerts from equipment and vehicles.

Environment: Work may be required on wet, slippery, hot, dry, dusty, or cold surfaces. Personal Protective Equipment: Hearing protection, reflective vests, and closed-toed shoes are required when outside the truck.

Job Requirements

• Pass DOT urine and hair follicle tests.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 9 months of verifiable CDL A tractor-trailer experience within the last 12 months, or 12 months within the last 3 years.
• No preventable accidents involving fatality or rollover in the last 3 years.
• No DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions in a commercial vehicle in the last 8 years.
• No positive DOT drug/alcohol tests or refusals in the last 3 years.
• Maximum of 8 driving jobs and 3 employment terminations from Tyson Foods in the last 3 years.
