Job summary

Pratt Industries in Georgia seeks a regional truck driver to operate a tractor-trailer with a 53’ dry van. You will drop, hook, spot, switch equipment, and handle cargo with strict adherence to FMCSA and Corrugated Logistics policies.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, maintain electronic logs, and communicate with Dispatch about stops and delays while compiling accurate paperwork such as bills of lading and manifests. Home daily in this regional role.

Qualifications

• Operate a tractor-trailer (53’ dry van) safely in accordance with FMCSA and company policies.
• Perform thorough pre-trip inspections as prescribed by FMCSA and the company.
• Maintain driver’s logs electronically and comply with hours-of-service requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailer equipment in various configurations and weights.
• Drop, hook, spot, switch and interchange equipment as needed.
• Ensure all required shipping documentation accompanies deliveries.
• Properly secure or re-secure cargo.
• Communicate with Dispatch/Operations regarding stops, movements, and delays.
• Report accidents, incidents, and traffic violations to the appropriate parties.
• Complete inspection reports, bills of lading, trip pay reports, and logs.
