Ryder System, Inc. in Rocky Mount, VA is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver to deliver regionally with sleeper tractors and 53' dry vans. Drivers enjoy weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

The role offers guaranteed pay for the first four weeks, paid training, and opportunities for time at home with a Friday-Tuesday schedule. You’ll operate trucks that Ryder maintains nationwide.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL with endorsements and verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• Minimum 21 years old; pass a Ryder Drug Test, background and motor vehicle check, and a DOT physical.
• Pass Ryder road test and provide appropriate CDL endorsements.
• 9 months to 5 years of verifiable experience within specified windows.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Maintaining accurate records and logs, detecting and eliminating safety hazards
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
