Job summary

Perdue Transportation Incorporated is seeking a Regional Driver to operate tractor-trailer, delivering freight regionally and maintaining DOT compliance while upholding Perdue Farms' standards. This role requires safety-minded, dependable professionals willing to travel away from home for extended periods.

You will support drop-and-hook and live load/unload operations, with a focus on safe, on-time deliveries and strong customer service across the region.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum two years over-the-road tractor/trailer experience.
• Valid Class A CDL license.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver and deliver/backhaul truckloads to plants, customers, and distributors.
• Observe and maintain DOT hours of service, logbook, vehicle inspections, load inspections, and securing load.
• Utilize electronic logging device and on-board vehicle tracking system.
• Operate a tractor and trailer in a legal/safe manner per all laws and company policies.
• Utilize all onboard safety features.
• Complete and submit company paperwork including manifest, bill of lading, proof of delivery, overage/shortage/damaged claims, and trip reports.
• Physical loading/unloading of products may be required.
• Ensure seal/security integrity and accurate case count reporting during deliveries.
• May transport a load outside normal scope to meet business needs.
