Job summary

Averitt Express is seeking regional CDL-A truck drivers to join a team that values earning potential, driver support, and strong home time. Average weekly pay is $1,550 (based on a typical 5-day schedule, paid by practical miles) with various pay adds and no hazmat endorsement required.

Routes are regional across the South and Midwest with 100% no-touch freight and modern equipment. Home time is prioritized; many drivers are home by noon on Saturdays with 48+ hours at home weekly.

Qualifications

Must be 21 years of age or older.
1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the last 3 years.
Valid Class A CDL.
Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire.
No DUI/DWI in the past 5 years.
No reckless driving violations in the past 5 years.

Responsibilities

Open and close trailer doors (up to 46 lbs).
Hook and unhook trailers (up to 90 lbs).
Load, unload, or shift freight (up to 54 lbs).
Perform accurate freight counts and fuel tickets.
Conduct pre-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
Enter and exit commercial vehicles and trailers; drive long periods.
