Job summary

Saia is seeking a professional truck driver to operate tractor trailers over long distances, delivering freight safely and efficiently. You will follow pre- and post-trip procedures, maintain logs, and comply with DOT rules while adapting to varied weather and road conditions.

Qualifications include a valid Class A CDL with hazmat, tanker, and twin trailer endorsements, at least one year of verifiable driving experience, the ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and willingness to work nights,

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid Class A CDL with hazmat, tanker, and twin trailer endorsements.
• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
• No DUI/DWI or license suspensions for moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No chargeable accidents or serious traffic violations in the last 6 months.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and endure varying temperatures.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong reading, writing, and comprehension of English for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Drives tractor trailers to deliver and pickup freight between terminals and facilities.
• Travels regionally and cross-regionally with singles, doubles, or triples.
• Follows pre-trip and post-trip procedures and DOT regulations.
• Conducts inspections and maintains logs and load paperwork.
• Maintains equipment in compliance with DOT guidelines.
