Job summary

AK Durland Trucking LLC is seeking an experienced CDL Class A driver to join our growing, family-owned trucking company. We are a small carrier with established customers and steady freight across the Southeast, offering ride-along training to ensure a smooth transition.

You’ll run a mix of regional and OTR freight, enjoy home weekends with some weekday home time, and work 40–60 hours per week. We pride ourselves on well-maintained equipment, direct ownership communication, and a salary-based

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license.
• Clean driving record.
• Flatbed and/or step deck experience.
• Ability to pass DOT drug screening and background checks.
• Professional attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Learn customers, lanes, and operating procedures through ride-along training.
• Transition to independent regional and OTR freight.
• Deliver loads with safe and proper freight handling; limited tarping when required.
• Maintain communication with ownership and teams to ensure smooth operations.
