Job summary

Southland Transportation Co. in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Regional Truck Driver to transport goods across state lines in tractor-trailer units. You’ll be part of our logistics team, delivering on time while following safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• Two or more years of CDL Class A semi-tractor experience in the last 36 months.
• Strong communication and safety focus.
• Ability to operate heavy trucks safely.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Check vehicles to ensure mechanical and safety equipment is in good working order.
• Maintain logs per state and federal regulations.
• Drive tractors-trailers to transport and deliver products.
• Plan or adjust routes using GPS to minimize fuel use.
• Inspect loads for security and accuracy.
• Operate truck cab computers and radios for communication.
• Crank landing gear and perform basic maintenance tasks.
