Qualifications

• CDL Class A with required endorsements and a clean driving record.
• 2+ years of CDL Class A semi-tractor experience in the last 36 months.
• Strong verbal and written communication for effective teamwork and stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in completing paperwork and logs.

Responsibilities

• Check vehicles for mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment.
• Maintain hours of service logs per state/federal regulations.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for deliveries and collect payment when required.
• Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions with guidance from loading crew.
• Drive tractor-trailer combinations to transport and deliver goods.
• Read bills of lading to determine assignment details.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or damage to trucks.
• Plan routes using maps or GPS to determine routes and efficiency.
• Inspect loads to ensure cargo is secure and properly documented.
• Drive to weigh stations before and after loading as required.
• Operate equipment like truck cab computers and CB radios to communicate with bases/other drivers.
