Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a professional truck driver to join our transportation team. You will operate late model Freightliner tractors, deliver freight safely over long distances, and uphold all state and federal regulations while representing the company with professionalism.

Expect competitive pay with earning potential up to $100,000+ annually and a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Anticipated home time is about 2 days per week, with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k)

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• 1-year CDL Class A driving tractor trailer or reefer experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver freight over the road over long distances in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records required under state and federal laws and regulations.
• Ensure that all operations are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Represent the Company and the trucking industry in a professional manner.
