Job summary

American Driver is hiring a truck driver to haul regional freight in the Southeast. Expect weekly pay between $1,200 and $1,500, with regional routes never going north of Ohio-Indiana and 1,900–2,200 miles weekly.

Trainee pay starts at $650 per week during training; home time is every other week. Detention, layover, and extra stop pay are included along with medical and 401(k) benefits. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ with valid CDL A.
• Clean driving record with no major accidents, tickets, or suspensions in the past 5 years.
• No DUI/DWI, felonies, or misdemeanors in the last 10 years.
• Must pass hair follicle and urine drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate dry van freight regionally in the Southeast with no overnights north of OH/IN.
• Maintain 1,900–2,200 miles weekly and manage on-time deliveries.
• Adhere to safety policies, proper logbooks, and customer service standards.

Job description

Weekly pay from $1,200 to $1,500 after training, running regional freight that never goes further north than Ohio-Indiana.

Pay

• Weekly average pay $1,200 to $1,500
• Mileage rate $0.55 to $0.65 cpm, based on experience
• Monthly bonus potential up to $0.08 cpm (fuel, safety, performance)
• Weekly pay, direct deposit
• Detention pay, layover pay, and extra stop pay included

Route & Freight

• Dry van freight, 100% no touch
• 40% live load, 60% drop and hook
• Lumpers paid when unload is required
• Regional lanes across the Southeast, no further north than Ohio-Indiana
• 1,900 to 2,200 miles weekly

• Trainee pay of $650 per week during training
• Training runs 4 to 6 weeks, both regional and OTR
• Home every other week, 34 to 48 hours
• Minimum of 120 hours from an accredited CDL school required to start
• Paid orientation, plus travel and hotel covered
