Job summary

Schneider Electric in the United States seeks a Regional Category Manager to lead strategy and sourcing for Electrical Steel, Thermobimetals, Silver & Contacts across regions. You will contribute to category strategy as a cross-functional team member and drive supplier selection and risk assessment.

The role involves executing the strategy with regional buyers, optimizing supplier base, and monitoring performance, while collaborating with engineering, industrialization, procurement and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in Category Management interacting with multiple regions and cultures.
• Knowledge of strategy and sourcing for Electrical Steel, Thermobimetals, Silver & Contacts.
• Experience in metals/industrial backgrounds (non-ferrous) and global negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to category strategy in a Cross-Functional Team (CFT).
• Execute the category strategy in the geographic zone and monitor performance.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate with strategic suppliers, and support other purchasers.
• Plan and review annual operational plans (APOP) and drive cost-saving initiatives.
• Coordinate supplier development actions, ensure contract frameworks, and measure KPIs.
