Job summary

Chemours is seeking a Regional Capital Engineering Manager based in Corpus Christi, TX to lead a multidisciplinary team across Corpus Christi, La Porte (TX) and El Dorado (AR) ensuring capital projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. The role reports to the COE Leader and involves regular site travel to support project development and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Champion safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement while coaching project teams.
  • Oversee full capital portfolio: planning, design, procurement, contracting, and execution.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Manager to align and prioritize the portfolio.
  • Ensure governance to Capital Organization guidelines and best practices.
  • Coordinate with Procurement and Capital Excellence Team on strategy.
  • Contract administration of site-based design contractors and external providers.
  • Monitor KPIs for planning and execution.
  • Provide engineering support to regional operations for safe, reliable plants.

Chemours is seeking a Regional Capital Engineering Manager to join our growing Capital Organization. This position will be available at our Corpus Christi site and reporting directly to the Capital Execution & Center of Excellence (COE) Leader. The Regional Capital Engineering Manager leads and develops a high-performing, multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for the successful execution of capital projects across Chemours' Corpus Christi, TX, La Porte, TX, and El Dorado, AR manufacturing sites. Based in Corpus Christi, this role is accountable for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while supporting site and business objectives.

The Regional Engineering Manager partners closely with plant leadership, the Capital Portfolio Manager, and key stakeholders across the Capital Organization to prioritize investments, drive engineering excellence, and ensure consistent project execution across the region. Regular travel to the La Porte and El Dorado sites is required to support project development, stakeholder engagement, and capital execution activities.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Champion a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement as you coach and develop project managers and engineers.
  • Oversee the execution of full capital portfolio—including planning, forecasting, design, procurement, quality, contracting, project safety, turnaround support, and infrastructure maintenance—ensuring every project is executed on time, within budget, and in line with Chemours' rigorous safety and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate with Capital Portfolio Manager and other Regional Capital Managers to prioritize and align on a consolidated capital project portfolio for the company.
  • Align regional engineering capabilities with business strategies and ensure governance to Capital Organization guidelines and best practices for effective and efficient project delivery.
  • Work with Procurement and Capital Excellence Team to ensure the right procurement strategy is in place for all capital projects.
  • Contract administration of site-based design contractors and external engineering providers.
  • Monitor and deliver against KPIs for project planning and execution.
  • Provide engineering assistance to regional operations to maintain safe and reliable plants, including support for MOC, MIQA, and infrastructure. (non-capital work)
The following is required for this role:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience managing industrial or manufacturing capital projects.
  • Experience with people management.
  • Demonstrated success leading high-performing teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Solid understanding of plant operations, capital project execution, and maintenance excellence.
  • Proven track record of building strong teams, delivering results, driving continuous improvement, and applying engineering best practices.
  • Ability to travel.
The following is preferred for this role:
  • Experience working with design contractors and external engineering providers.
  • Exposure to highly toxic materials and chemical manufacturing operations.
  • Strong background in procurement and contract management (T&M and Lump Sum).
  • Advanced degree or certification (e.g., PMP, PE) is a plus.

Pay Range (in local currency): $148,176.00 - $231,525.00 Chemours Level: 28 Annual Bonus Target: 16% The pay range and incentives listed above is a general guideline based on the primary location of this job only and not a guarantee of total compensation.
