2. Role Overview

The REGIONAL BUSINESS HEAD is a high-impact, entrepreneurial leadership role designed to transform EcoFamilies from a UK-centric digital platform into the leading sustainable parenting ecosystem across the Middle East, Reporting directly to the UK Board of Directors / Chief Operating Officer, you will hold full strategic, commercial, and operational accountability for your territories.

Your mission is to bridge global sustainability strategies with localized market realities. You will lead cross-functional remote teams (including Country Representatives) to drive user acquisition, scale digital community engagement, and secure high-value B2B brand partnerships. This position demands a rare mix of data-driven business acumen, a deep understanding of South Asian, Central Aisa and Middle Eastern digital landscapes, and a fierce passion for environmental advocacy. You will turn community growth into sustainable commercial revenue while ensuring strict alignment with regional digital regulations.

What You'll Do

3. Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Commercial Growth & Monetization

• Drive Regional Revenue: Build and execute localized monetization models, including premium family subscriptions, eco-friendly brand sponsorships, and regional business directory listings.
• B2B Partnership Development: Scout, negotiate, and secure commercial partnerships with regional sustainable brands, organic product distributors, and eco-conscious corporate sponsors.
• Market Expansion Planning: Analyze digital traffic trends, user acquisition costs, and market maturity to identify high-growth sub-regions for targeted platform expansion.
• Competitor Intelligence: Monitor regional competitors, green parenting communities, and digital media trends to keep EcoFamilies at the forefront of the market.

2. Digital Platform Operations & Localization

• Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead and align your regional team, ensuring that Country Representatives and Content Creators deliver on synchronized growth campaigns.
• Localization Strategy: Oversee the adaptation of the core UK platform model to ensure cultural relevance, linguistic accuracy, and localized value propositions for users in South Asia and the Middle East.
• Product Feedback Loop: Track regional user experience (UX) pain points and feature requests, collaborating directly with the UK product/tech team to optimize the website.

3. Financial Management & Budgetary Control

• P&L Responsibility: Manage the regional profit and loss (P&L) statements, ensuring all growth activities align with the approved annual operating budget.
• Cost Optimization: Oversee local operational expenses, vendor contracts (e.g., regional marketing agencies or software licenses), and localized payment processing fees.
• Financial Forecasting: Deliver monthly and quarterly financial forecasts, traffic-to-revenue conversions, and return-on-investment (ROI) reports to the UK Board of Directors.

4. Legal, Regulatory & Compliance Governance

• Data Privacy Compliance: Ensure absolute alignment with regional data frameworks, including the UAE’s PDPL, India’s DPDPA, and evolving data regulations in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
• Corporate & Tax Governance: Oversee local tax obligations (such as corporate tax or VAT/GST frameworks where applicable) in coordination with regional financial advisors.
• Local Policy Alignment: Ensure the platform’s content guidelines and digital community standards comply with local media regulatory authorities in each operating country.

5. Stakeholder Relations & Impact Reporting

• UK Board Reporting: Act as the primary conduit between regional operations and UK leadership, delivering data-driven weekly performance reports on KPIs (User Growth, Engagement, and Revenue).
• ESG & Impact Metrics: Establish frameworks to track, measure, and report on the tangible environmental and social impact generated by the EcoFamilies community across your regions.

Requirements

4. Person Specification

• Qualifications: PhD Business or MBA+ACCA, or equivalent executive management certifications.
• Proven History:15+ years of demonstrated success managing digital platform scaling, remote B2B commercial pipelines, or multi-country operations.
• Analytical Toolkit:Exceptional analytical data skills, fluent financial modeling capabilities, and deep operational metrics mastery.
• Communication: Flawless written and spoken professional English, with strong regional linguistic competency considered a distinct asset.
