Overview

The Regional Business Development Leader role involves strategic planning, marketing, and business development in the Central Texas region. Key responsibilities include contributing region-specific insights to market analysis, developing regional strategies aligned with operational plans, leading coordination meetings, and facilitating key hires. Additionally, the role entails managing client information, developing marketing campaigns, representing the company at events, and ensuring client satisfaction on ongoing projects. This is a full-time position paid bi-weekly on a salary basis.

Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
  • Contributes region-specific market information to Parkhill's Market Scan to help identify growth opportunities
  • Facilitates the development of a regional strategy that is in alignment with the Parkhill Strategic Plan and Sector Operational Plans
  • Leads and facilitates coordination meetings with Regional Business Development Team (RBDT)
  • Coordinates with RBDT and SDs to help with key hires for the region
  • Coordinates with other RBDLs to share best practices and leverage cross-region opportunities
Marketing
  • Assists in maintaining regional client information in CRM
  • Works with the Marketing team to develop and implement a region-specific marketing initiative (sponsorships, org involvement, brand awareness, etc.)
  • Serves as primary external representative of Parkhill at major local conferences, organizations, and/or client meetings
  • Coordinates community and industry involvement of RBDT and other regional staff
  • Coordinates with RBDTeam to develop client list for conference invites and Christmas gifts in the region
  • Stays abreast of key regional issues and communicates relevant information to RBDT
  • Leads and/or supports proposal development efforts for strategic pursuits
Business Development
  • Works with RBDT to identify target clients in the region
  • Works with Sectors to ensure new opportunities are entered and maintained in CRM
  • Helps implement pre-positioning activities with key focus on client-facing actions
  • Tracks Client Win Plans completed for target clients in region and supports implementation
  • Provides input to Go/No-Go decisions for regional opportunities
  • Assists RBDTeam in meeting with potential new clients
Project Delivery / Client Satisfaction
  • Tracks key, on-going projects to verify status and client satisfaction
  • Helps project teams perform local tasks, on a limited basis, as needed
  • Serves as Core Client Manager (CCM) or ensures CCM role is assigned for core clients
  • Attends client meetings on key projects or when local presence is required
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
  • Experience in business development, marketing, or client engagement within Central Texas, with experience in Southeast Texas considered an additional asset
  • Previous roles in leadership or management, demonstrating the ability to lead teams and drive business growth
  • Familiarity with the Architecture / Civil Engineering industry, including market dynamics, client needs, and competitive landscape
  • Ability to develop and implement business strategies that align with the company's goals
  • Proficiency in analyzing market data, financial reports, and sales statistics to make informed decisions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, stakeholders, and clients
  • Strong negotiation abilities to close deals and form strategic partnerships
  • Strong networking skills to build and maintain relationships with internal key stakeholders and clients
