Job summary

SAFEbuilt, Inc. is seeking a Building Official to manage Western Washington state projects and regulatory compliance. You will oversee regional operations, staffing, and client relations while ensuring safety, budgeting, and processes align with company goals.

Qualifications

• Six years progressive management experience.
• Background in Community Development or Building/Construction fields preferred.
• Familiarity with WA State building, plumbing, mechanical, fire, and energy codes.
• Familiarity with WA State planning regulations.
• ICC Combination Commercial Certification desired.
• ICC Combination Residential Certification preferred.
• Valid WA driver’s license or able to obtain at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial oversight and planning in coordination with the Director of Operations.
• Ensure regional locations meet goals for regulatory compliance, budget, safety and growth.
• Recruit, hire and train staff; oversee regional operations.
• Provide daily leadership and allocate resources across regional departments.
• Supervise staff in accordance with policies and laws; address complaints and resolve issues.
• Travel to meet clients, local service centers and attend meetings as required.
• Promote SAFEbuilt in the region through marketing and community relations.
• Conduct regional audits and report on operational metrics; improve quality controls.
• Stay current on trends in industry and operations management; pursue education and benchmarking.
